I sometimes hear it said that the Unitarian church is essentially an upper-class church. if so, it is unfortunate. The same people say that [another denomination] is essentially a lower-class church. If so, it is unfortunate. But we do not escape, for they say of us that we are essentially a middle-class church. If it be true, that also is unfortunate. The world has little use for a merely class church.
The oppressors of labor are concerned in making money, not in making men.
Perhaps the most delightful friendships are those in which there is much agreement, much disputation, and yet more personal liking.
